The Journey to create beauty, always in the foreground of Joan's life, has transitioned through various mediums, until reaching the satisfying and challenging material...stone.

Joan has been sculpting in stone for over twelve years. She has studied with several prominent sculptors and attended carving workshops in Pietrasanta, Italy.

Her satisfaction in sculpting is twofold: finding pleasure in creating and giving pleasure to those who enjoy her work. Joan's sculptures can be found in private collections across the United States.

Artist Statement:

I believe the reason for our being is to make the world a better place. We accomplish this by utilizing our gifts and offering the fruits of our struggles to humankind.

My gift is creativity.

My medium is stone.

My passion is sculpting.
